BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Two burglaries were recently reported in Bloomfield, authorities say.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about each incident:
June 18 – “Officers responded to the area of Bay Avenue on report of a burglary. The complainant, who is currently taking care of the victim’s residence while she is in an assisted living facility, noticed a large quantity of silver coins missing. The coins are valued between $5,000 and $10,000. This incident is under investigation.”
June 21 – “Officers responded to the 100-block of Glenwood Avenue on report of a burglary. The resident left for an overnight trip and when he returned, he noticed his house keys, a necklace and a jar containing $200 was missing. The resident also noticed a bedroom window, which was left unlocked, was slightly opened. This incident is under investigation.”
