National Night Out Will Return In Bloomfield: Food, Music, Entertainment

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A "National Night Out" celebration will return in Bloomfield for 2026.

The Bloomfield Police Department will host this year's event on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at Vassar Field, 60 Byrd Avenue. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., followed by a police vs. fire kickball game at 6 p.m. and live entertainment from Theatre Rock at 7:30 p.m.

The free celebration is open to the public. It will include food, music, children's activities and law enforcement demonstrations, in addition to safety information from local emergency responders.

National Night Out is commemorated each summer in towns across the United States. The event helps to foster connections between police and the public.
