BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A bridge construction project continues to move along the permitting pipeline in Bloomfield.
Bloomfield town officials released the following update about the Walnut Street Bridge Project earlier this week:
"The township continues to move through the required state permitting process for reconstruction of the Walnut Street Bridge. The NJDEP permit application remains on track for resubmission by August 14 under updated state permitting requirements, which are expected to streamline the review process. If approvals remain on schedule, the project is anticipated to be advertised for construction bids in late 2026 or early 2027."
"While the project requires additional time before construction can begin, important milestones continue to be reached," the township added.
