Baby Carriage Used In Package Theft Getaway: Bloomfield Police

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield resident recently lost purifiers, books and N95 face masks to a package thief who apparently used a baby carriage to cart the stolen items away, police said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, an Ampere Parkway resident said a package theft took place on April 20.

The resident ordered three packages, police said:

• Two packages from Amazon (three purifiers, two books, valued at $203)
• A package from eBay with N95 masks (value $59)

According to Bloomfield police:

“The resident was away for a few days and returned home on Tuesday April 21, 2020. She checked her Amazon account and the packages were delivered on April 20, 2020 at 11:56 a.m. Her eBay packages were also delivered on April 20, 2020 at 15:26 p.m.”

Bloomfield police continued:

“The suspect pictured below took the packages from the front porch. The suspect is seen wheeling what appears to be a baby carriage, and loaded the stolen packages inside. The picture is not the best of quality. If anyone has seen a suspect with a baby carriage in the area or any other video on April 23, 2020, please contact Det.
