ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Craft beer and classic video games. This is the combination that Newark officials and members of the local business community are hoping will prove to be a one-two punch that will help catalyze positive growth in the Washington Park District.
On Tuesday, Mayor Ras Baraka, Barcade owner Paul Kermizian, Audible.Com founder and CEO Don Katz and Fidelco Group Chairman Marc Berson hosted a celebratory ribbon cutting at Barcade’s newest location on the north end of Washington Park in Newark at 494 Broad Street.
The combination bar/restaurant/arcade is located across the street from Rutgers Business School and Audible’s Newark headquarters, and is a short walk from NJ Transit’s Broad Street Station.
