Bloomfield Car Crimes: Stolen Vehicle, Thefts, Catalytic Converters
Several vehicle-related crimes were reported in Bloomfield, police say. Here's the latest list.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Several vehicle-related crimes were reported in Bloomfield last week, authorities announced Thursday.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents recently took place in the township.
Nov. 20 – Officers responded to the area of Lexington Avenue after getting a report about vehicle burglary. A resident said she saw movement near her vehicle, which was parked in the driveway. She then noticed that the vehicle was rummaged through and three pairs of sunglasses and a credit card wallet were taken. The sunglasses were valued at $600. This incident is under investigation.

Nov. 22 – Officers responded to the area of Hazelwood Road after getting a report about a stolen car. A resident parked his vehicle in the driveway of the residence overnight, and the following morning, he noticed it was missing. The vehicle, a black 2020 Kia Sportage, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.
Nov. 22 – Officers responded to the area of Johnson Avenue after getting a report about a catalytic converter theft. According to a resident, sometime between 2 p.m. on Nov. 21 and 9:44 p.m. on Nov. 22, the catalytic converter was stolen from his vehicle. This incident is under investigation.

Nov. 23 – Officers responded to the 100-block of Spruce Street after getting four vehicle burglary reports. Several residents noticed the windows broken on their vehicles and the vehicles were rummaged through. These incidents are under investigation.
