Bloomfield College Signs Transfer Agreement With CCM

It's now easier for students to start at County College of Morris and then transfer to Bloomfield College to complete their degree.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — It just became easier for students to get their start at County College of Morris and then transfer to Bloomfield College to complete their bachelor's degrees.

On Thursday, Bloomfield College announced that it formally signed a Guaranteed Transfer Agreement with County College of Morris (CCM) on Feb. 16.

According to Bloomfield College spokespeople, the Guaranteed Transfer Agreement will enable CCM students enrolled in the A.A. or A.S. Teacher Education programs to complete their associate degrees at CCM and transfer as a junior in good standing to Bloomfield College's Division of Education, concentrating in elementary education with subject matter specialization.

Bloomfield College stated:

“The agreement admits the following CCM associate degree holders into Bloomfield College: A.S. in Teacher Education with a Biology Education Specialization, Chemistry Education Specialization, or Mathematics Education Specialization; A.A. in Teacher Education with English Education Specialization, Social Studies (History) Education Specialization, Social Studies (Psychology) Education Specialization or Social Studies (Sociology) Education Specialization.”

The partnership will take effect at the start of the fall semester.

"Bloomfield College and County College of Morris share a mutual commitment to student success, and this agreement strengthens this shared goal,” said Bloomfield College President Richard Levao.

“We are dedicated to providing options for students to receive the highest quality college education," Levao said. "We are always looking for ways to assist students in continuing their education. This agreement allows students to get their start at County College of Morris and then transfer to Bloomfield College to complete their bachelor's degrees."

"We are excited about our newfound partnership with Bloomfield College,” CCM President Anthony Iacono said.
