Bloomfield College's American Language Center Provides High Quality ESL Classes to Hundred's of Students

Learning how to speak English can be a challenge. Bloomfield College’s American Language Center, offers a program for non English-speaking students. Their teachers are all highly trained with Master’s degrees and they teach students from many countries who speak all kinds of languages. Classes are small to ensure plenty of contact with the teachers and fellow students.

Innovative Program

Bloomfield College’s classes are based on an innovative curriculum and the instructors use a variety of current methods and techniques. The faculty are all highly-trained with Master’s degrees in the field of TESOL. Students find the faculty to be enthusiastic, dedicated to improving the program, and even more and most importantly, friendly.

Bloomfield College’s program has grown quickly and is attracting both local and international students from many countries around the world, partly because of their prime location in the heart of the Essex County.

Small Diverse Classes

The American Language Center has hundreds of resident ESL students from areas of Asia, Central and South America, the Middle East and many other areas. Class sizes are small so there is plenty of opportunity for student participation and contact with the instructors.

Well-equipped Facilities

The American Language Center has classrooms that are equipped with TVs, VCRs and overhead projectors as well as smart classrooms with an instructor computer and a projector and internet. They also have state-of-the-art ESL Computer lab classrooms with software programs for practicing English language skills. There is internet access and ESL internet links with hundreds of internet activities.

Many Levels of Instruction
The American Language Center has six levels of instruction. Students can actively meet their English learning challenges, perform academic and everyday reading/writing and speaking/listening tasks, and advance rapidly in their comprehensive English skills.
