BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield convenience store lost $1,000 in cash and $500 in loose change during a burglary last week, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Krauszer’s at 300 Broad Street on Sept. 16 after receiving a report of a burglary. The business owner soon arrived on the scene and led officers to the back of the store, where “forced entry” was seen on a fence and door. When police entered the building they found damage to the cash register, authorities said.

Police reviewed surveillance video of the burglary, which showed a “white, older male with gray hair” wearing a light-blue baseball cap, white zip-up style jacket, dark blue pants, black gloves and gray sneakers with white trim/sole.
