Bloomfield Cop Finds Car On Concrete Blocks, Missing 4 Tires
Expensive parts were stolen from a pair of vehicles in Bloomfield, including catalytic converters and rims/tires, police said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Expensive parts were stolen from a pair of vehicles in Bloomfield earlier this month. One car was found sitting on concrete blocks with its rims and tires missing, authorities said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents took place in the township:
Feb. 10 – “An officer responded to Montgomery Street (Garden State Cutter Cleaning) on report of a theft. The complainant last used the vans on Feb. 8 at 4 p.m. On Feb. 10, while attempting to start one of the vans, it wouldn’t start. He then realized the catalytic converters were cut from three of his vans. The three converters are valued at $9,000. This incident is under investigation.”

Feb. 11 – “An officer on patrol in the area of Abington Avenue observed a vehicle sitting on concrete blocks. All four rims and tires were missing. The vehicle owner last saw her vehicle on Feb. 10 between 7:30 and 8 p.m. The tires and rims are valued at $2,000. This incident is under investigation.”
