Bloomfield Cop Gives Woman Narcan Dose: Willow Street

A Bloomfield police officer revived a possibly overdosing woman on Willow Street with a dose of Narcan, authorities say.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield police officer revived a possibly overdosing woman on Willow Street with a dose of Narcan last week, authorities say.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, an officer responded to a Willow Street home on July 13 on a report of a “sick” person possibly under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

On arrival, the officer discovered a 39-year-old female lying on the floor. After noting that she wasn’t responding to verbal or physical stimuli, the officer administered a dose of Narcan.

The woman immediately reacted to the Narcan, and was subsequently transported to Clara Maas Hospital, police said.
