Bloomfield Cop Named ‘Officer Of Year’: Yesenia Aponte
Bloomfield police officer Yesenia Aponte was named "Officer of the Year" by the Essex County Crime Prevention Association for 2018.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield police officer was named as “Officer of the Year” by the Essex County Crime Prevention Association for 2018.
On Saturday, the Bloomfield Division of Public Safety announced that Yesenia Aponte received the award and that her peers are “truly honored to have her as part of our team.”
The plaque honoring Aponte recognizes her “outstanding dedication to community policing and crime prevention in Essex County.”
