Bloomfield Cops Allegedly Find Clifton Man Burglarizing Sushi Restaurant
Bloomfield police arrested a Clifton man after allegedly catching him trying to burglarize the Sushi You Restaurant on West Passaic Avenue.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police arrested a Clifton man after allegedly catching him trying to burglarize the Sushi You Restaurant on West Passaic Avenue last month, authorities say.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the restaurant around 12:55 a.m. on June 12 to find Brian Barone, 51, of Clifton, in front of the building.
Police found Barone in possession of a chisel and a flashlight at the time, authorities said.

Additional officers arriving on the scene checked the business and discovered the rear door had been pried open and money was missing from the register, police said.
In addition, police found a photo of the damaged rear door saved on Barone’s cell phone, along with the exact denomination of money reported missing from the register, authorities stated.

Police charged Barone with burglary and possession of burglary tools.
