Bloomfield Cops Arrest Several Accused Car Thieves
Five juveniles were arrested in connection with two separate car thefts, Bloomfield police said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield detectives made arrests in connection with two recent car thefts that took place in the township, authorities reported this week.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following statements about each incident.
HAINES DRIVE – Detectives investigated a residential burglary / motor vehicle theft that occurred on Aug. 17 on Haines Drive. The victim’s garage window was broken and her vehicle was stolen from inside the garage. After an investigation, Bloomfield detectives charged three juveniles from Newark in connection with the crimes.

WINDING LANE – Detectives investigated a motor vehicle theft that occurred on Sept. 1 on Winding Lane. After processing the recovered vehicle and investigating the incident, Bloomfield detectives charged two juveniles from Newark in connection with the crime.
