Bloomfield Cops Cite ‘Panhandler’ Outside 7-Eleven

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police issued a local man a summons after observing him “panhandling” outside the 7-Eleven on Bloomfield Avenue last month, authorities say.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, an officer allegedly noticed the 42-year-old Belleville man asking for money in front of the store on July 26.

Authorities issued the man a summons for canvassing without a permit, police said.
