Bloomfield Cops Find Drugs, BB Gun During Traffic Stop

Bloomfield officers found drugs and guns after stopping a car near JFK and Bloomfield Avenue.

Bloomfield, NJ – Bloomfield police arrested four men for CDS and unlawful possession of a weapon after conducting a motor vehicle stop for a prohibited turn in the area of JFK and Bloomfield Avenue last week.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers found an unspecified amount of cocaine and marijuana inside the car during the Feb. 19 traffic stop, along with a black BB gun, several hypodermic syringes and multiple glassine envelopes of suspected heroin.

Officers placed the vehicle’s occupants under arrest and charged them each with multiple narcotic offenses and a weapon offense.

Bail was set at the following amounts:

  • Nicholas Paynter, 22, of Bloomfield, $75,000
  • Nickolis Bloom, 23, of Pennsylvania, $100,000
  • Bruce Curry, 57, of Pennsylvania, $75,000
  • Salvatore Diluzio, 25, of Pennsylvania, $75,000
