Bloomfield Cops Seize 20 Pounds Of Marijuana During Traffic Stop
Bloomfield police also confiscated "numerous" Adderall pills and $8,701 in cash after stopping a Florida man on Bloomfield Avenue.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police arrested a Florida man on Wednesday after finding about 20 pounds of marijuana stuffed inside a laundry bag during a traffic stop, authorities said.
Police also confiscated “numerous” Adderall pills and $8,701 in cash after arresting Raynaldo Cuevas, 42, of Davie, Florida.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, two officers allegedly saw Cuevas driving a Jeep Liberty with an Illinois registration traveling “at an excessive speed” with no headlights on Bloomfield Avenue around 10:16 p.m. When officers pulled Cuevas over, they saw a purple laundry bag partially open with a clear, plastic bag containing a large amount of marijuana in the rear seat of the car.

Police arrested Cuevas and charged him with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute Within 1,000 feet of Berkeley Avenue School, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute Within 500 feet of Berkeley Heights Park, Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug, Possession With Intent to Distribute a Prescription Legend Drug and Money Laundering.
