Bloomfield Cops Surprise Burglar In Fritz Street Home
The 19-year-old tried to push his way past officers and make his escape, police said.

Bloomfield police arrested a local man in the middle of a home burglary on June 6.
After receiving a call from the homeowner about a burglary in process, three officers arrived at the Fritz Street house around 3:24 a.m. to find a screen cut, the front door open and all the interior lights on.
According to police, two of the officers entered the home and located Rayvon Martin, 19, of Bloomfield, in the victim’s kitchen.

Martin tried to push his way past the officers, but was subdued and taken into custody, reported police.
Police discovered several items a short distance from the scene, which the 33-year-old homeowner later identified as proceeds from the crime.

Martin was charged with Resisting arrest, Possession of CDS, Marijuana Under 50 Grams, Burglary, Theft, Terroristic Threats and Criminal Mischief.
His bail was set at $50,000, and a court date is pending.
