Bloomfield Couple Robbed at Gunpoint on North 13th Street

A Bloomfield man and woman were robbed at gunpoint on the lower end of North 13th Street on Saturday, reported police.

According to reports, four males – two of them wearing black ski masks and a third possibly wearing a backpack - approached the 25-year-old male and 22-year-old female as they were walking down the street around 9 p.m.

Police said that one of the suspects brandished a silver handgun, grabbed the female victim from behind and searched her pockets. Another suspect then ordered the male victim to empty his pockets.

The victims reported that $2,000 worth of items were taken, including a gold chain, a black ring, a Samsung S4 mini cell phone, an iPhone 6, a Coach wallet and cash.

Police from several jurisdictions conducted a search of the area but did not find any suspects.
