Bloomfield COVID Vaccine Clinic Will Have All 3 Versions

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Township of Bloomfield will hold a coronavirus vaccine clinic for local residents on Wednesday, Nov. 3.

The clinic will include the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, as well as the Pfizer version, which is available to people 12 and up. People must be 18 and up to get the Johnson & Johnson or Moderna versions.

The clinic will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at the first floor of the Bloomfield Civics Center, 84 Broad Street. It will be open to those who haven’t gotten a COVID-19 vaccination, or who are eligible for a booster shot.

Appointments are required, and can be made by calling the Public Health Nurses at (973)-680-4058 to schedule an appointment. People interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine but who cannot make the clinic can call the Health Department at (973)-680-4024 for additional availability.

COVID-19 vaccines are always free of charge, regardless of residency, immigration status or health insurance status. No ID is required. No questions regarding immigration will be asked, officials said.

Bloomfield officials said residents can report any side effects to FDA/CDC Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) at (800)-822-7967 or vaers.hhs.gov/reportevent.html.

“The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, effective and free and is key to us getting fully past this pandemic,” Mayor Michael Venezia said, encouraging eligible residents to reach out and make an appointment.
