Bloomfield ‘Dinner Under The Stars’: Summer Date Night, Foodie Event

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Local foodies and those looking for a summer date night idea can find some inspiration at the “Dinner Under The Stars” al fresco nights on Washington Street in Bloomfield.

On alternating Fridays from June 30 to Aug. 25, the Bloomfield Center Alliance will host its 2017 Dinner Under The Stars series. During those dates, Washington Street will shut down to traffic and several surrounding restaurants will set up an outdoor escape for local dining. Live music is also planned, organizers stated.

The 2017 Dinner Under The Stars series takes place on the following dates:

• June 30
• July 14
• July 28
• Aug. 11
• Aug. 25

Here’s how the BCA describes the series:

“Join us on Washington Street where tables and chairs will be set up for you to enjoy a relaxing evening of good food and culture. Dine at one the local restaurants or feel free to order takeout from your favorite Bloomfield eatery and bring it with you… While here, check out the Bloomfield Center temporary pop-up shop where work from local/regional artists will be on display from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday evenings… Free parking is available after 6 p.m. in the Farrand Street lot.”
