Bloomfield, Elizabeth Men Charged With Home Burglary
Bloomfield police have arrested a pair of suspects who allegedly burglarized a North 16th Street home.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police have arrested a pair of suspects who allegedly burglarized a North 16th Street home last month.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, following an investigation into the Jan. 19 burglary, officers located surveillance video from the surrounding area which captured footage of a suspect and vehicle allegedly used in the crime.
Bloomfield detectives later located the vehicle in Newark, and further investigation led to the identification of the two suspects, Luis Cruz, 42, of Bloomfield, and Angel Lopez, 43, of Elizabeth.

Detectives arrested Lopez on Jan. 25 at his place of employment. Cruz turned himself in to police on Jan. 27.
Authorities charged both suspects with burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary and remanded them to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
