Bloomfield Event: Family Movie Night, ‘Quiet Party’
If you're looking to get out for an evening but want to stay close to Bloomfield, Aug. 11 is your chance.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — If you’re looking to get out for an evening but want to stay close to Bloomfield, this Friday is your chance. The Bloomfield Center Alliance (BCA) recently pointed the spotlight on several reasons to mark Aug. 11 on your calendar.
“There are just two more ‘Dinner under the Stars/Pop-up Art Gallery’ events left before the end of summer,” the BCA wrote.
“We're switching things up for the next scheduled evening on Friday, Aug. 11, with a family Movie Night. Thanks to our partners at the Bloomfield Recreation Center, you can bring your ‘crew,’ a comfortable chair and enjoy a movie under the stars. There'll be al fresco dining on Washington Street along with our Pop-Up Art Gallery featuring work from several local artists."

“We'll also be hosting a ‘Quiet Party,’ which is a sight to see," the BCA wrote. "It is described by some as a ‘surreal social experience’ that first came into being over fifteen years ago in New York City. Through headphones that light up, participants can listen to different types of music in real time at the same party. Imagine a large group of people 'vibing' to their own beat while interacting with each other.”
