Bloomfield Fire Department Earns Mark Of ‘Excellence’

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Fire Department recently earned a mark of “excellence” through the Lexipol Connect program.

Through the program, the BFD was evaluated across five key metrics that measure success in policy management. The department earned a “Gold Award,” the highest level of recognition available.

“This achievement highlights the department’s consistent and effective dissemination of policies to its personnel, timely updates to ensure compliance with evolving laws, and comprehensive training to keep officers at the top of their game,” township officials stated.

“I’m incredibly proud that our department has received this recognition, which reflects our unwavering commitment to policy excellence and the safety of our community,” Bloomfield Fire Chief Lou Venezia said.

“This honor not only reflects the hard work and dedication of our team, but also underscores our ongoing mission to ensure the highest level of safety and service for our community,” Venezia said.

Bloomfield Mayor Jenny Mundell also expressed her pride in the department’s achievement.

“This recognition reflects the outstanding dedication and professionalism of the Bloomfield Fire Department,” Mundell said. “Their commitment to continuous improvement in training and policy management ensures that our community is always prepared for any emergency.”
