Bloomfield Fire Department Earns Prestigious Accreditation

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Fire Department recently earned an important accreditation, putting it in a class with only a few hundred other departments.

According to a social media post from the township:

“The Bloomfield Fire Department has received Accredited Agency status with the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) for meeting the criteria established through the CFAI’s voluntary self-assessment and accreditation program. The Bloomfield Fire Department is one of only 300 agencies to achieve Internationally Accredited agency status with the CFAI and the Center for Public Safety Excellence, Inc. (CPSE).”

“Thank you to the Bloomfield Fire Department for its unwavering commitment to keeping our community safe,” town officials wrote.
