BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Fire Department is seeking input from local residents on its new, three-year strategic plan.
According to a municipal news release, a public meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28 in the Mayor’s Conference Room of the Law Enforcement Building at 1 Municipal Plaza.
“It is so important to us that residents are informed of the decisions happening in Bloomfield,” Mayor Michael Venezia said. “Our fire department will remain at the forefront of providing the best emergency services to our community. To help us develop this plan we ask the residents for their concerns and expectations.”

“Our fire department works hard every day to protect Bloomfield residents,” Fire Chief Louis Venezia said. “In order to help us identify and prioritize public safety-related issues and concerns of the community, we are seeking their input.”
The new strategic plan will help guide the department for the next three to five years. It will also translate the department’s mission and values into reachable goals and objectives, township officials said.
