Bloomfield Fixes Sewer Main Break

The problem was discovered in March; Line was located below water main.

The Bloomfield Department of Public Works has repaired a 24-inch sewer main break in the Six-Point area.

The break, discovered in March and located 25 feet below the street, ran below a Newark City water main that supplies Bloomfield, according to a report.

Bloomfield Township Engineer Paul Lasek told Essex News Daily that there was no major sewage discharge and that repairs will cost $1 million.
