It's Black History Month and Bloomfield is celebrating with a Community Social on Friday, Feb. 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bloomfield Public Library Theater (90 Broad Street). The event will be hosted by the township's Juneteenth Advisory Committee and will include performances from local artists.
"I grew up in a town that had similar Black History Month programs hosted by various groups, and my mom always made sure I attended,” said Councilwoman Sarah Cruz, Member of the Juneteenth Advisory Committee. “I hope this event will bring Bloomfield residents together to learn more about each other and our collective history. It's going to be a very fun evening and I am so excited for people to see the museum!"
