Bloomfield To Hold Donation Drive For Hurricane Fiona Victims
Bloomfield will hold a donation drive on Oct. 1 to support residents of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Here are the needed items.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Township of Bloomfield will hold a donation drive on Saturday, Oct. 1 to support residents of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic who have been impacted by Hurricane Fiona.
According to a municipal news release, the donation drive will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bloomfield Fire Headquarters, 375 Franklin Street. Residents are encouraged to donate vital supplies and other basic household necessities, such as medical supplies, toiletries, bedding, clothes and toys for young children, and non-perishable food items including water/filters.

- Lanterns or Flashlights
- Backpacks
- Personal Hygiene Products
- First Aid Kits
- Baby Formula
- Diapers for Babies and Adults
- Solar Charger
- Clothes
- Canned or Packaged Food
“Thank you to all the residents who have already donated to support this important cause,” Mayor Michael Venezia said. “Together we will be doing our small part to help those in need and while I have a heavy heart during this situation, I am also extremely proud of Bloomfield residents for their compassion and generosity.”
