Bloomfield Home, Garage Burglaries Reported On Floyd, North 15th
Items stolen in the Bloomfield burglaries included jewelry, money, construction tools and a winter work jacket, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A pair of Bloomfield residents were hit for more than $3,500 of losses during a pair of separate burglaries earlier this month, authorities said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following two incidents recently took place in the township:
March 12 – “Officers responded to Floyd Avenue on report of a burglary. The homeowners went out at 9:45 a.m. and returned home at 11:25 a.m. on March 12. When they came home, they observed their home was burglarized. Entry was made through a ground floor bedroom window with a brick being thrown and breaking the glass. Bedrooms were ransacked with items missing such as jewelry and money, a value of $2,300.”

March 16 – “An officer was dispatched to North 15th Street on a report of a burglary. The resident reports his garage was ransacked on March 15 at 8:20 p.m. Missing from his garage is construction tools and a winter work jacket; a total value of $1,200. While watching the surveillance video, the suspect is described as an African American male in his mid 30’s, wearing a grey hood, blue jeans and white sneakers. The suspect gained entry from the side of the home that leads into the garage.”
