Bloomfield Laundromat Burglarized, Loses Nearly $2K: Police

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield laundromat lost $1,890 in cash during a burglary last week, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Royal King Laundry at 137 Franklin Street on Sept. 20 after a passerby saw that the business’ windows were shattered and called authorities.

A store employee arrived at the scene soon afterwards and saw that two dryers were “tampered with” and $1,890 in cash was missing from the register, police said.

Bloomfield police are investigating the incident, authorities said.
