Bloomfield Man, 30, Killed In Car Crash: NJ State Police
A Bloomfield resident was killed in a crash on Friday morning, authorities said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield resident was killed in a crash in Union County on Friday morning, authorities said.
According to a NJ State Police spokesperson, troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Highway 24 eastbound at milepost 10 in Springfield Township at 1:16 a.m.
“A preliminary investigation reveals a Mazda 3 was traveling onto the Interstate 78 ramp (milepost 10) from State Highway 24 when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and impacted the guardrail end,” police said.

The driver, Alexander Marrero, 30 of Bloomfield, was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
