Bloomfield Man Accosted By Gun-Wielding Robber In Driveway: Police

The victim told officers that he was parked in his driveway at 2 a.m., when he heard someone knocking on the driver's side window.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield resident was accosted by a man with a gun while parked in his driveway earlier this month, authorities said Friday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Montgomery Street on April 4 after getting a report about an armed robbery.

The victim told officers that he was parked in his driveway at 2 a.m., when he heard someone knocking on the driver’s side window. When he turned to look, he saw a young man in a black mask and all black clothing “pointing a black pistol with a green laser attached to it,” police said in a statement.

The suspect told the victim, “Give me your stuff, I don't wanna hurt you,” but left the scene without taking any proceeds, authorities said.

Bloomfield police are investigating the robbery, authorities said.
