The Madison Police Department notified Paramus police that they could identify the man, Mark Piacenza of Bloomfield; Piacenza was wanted in Madison for similar crimes, Ehrenberg said.

Piacenza was being held by the Newark Police Department on unrelated charges, police said.

Piacenza was booked, processed, and remanded to the Essex County Jail on $10,000 bail, police said.
