Bloomfield Man, Bouncer, Shot At N.J. Strip Club: Report

A Bloomfield resident working as a bouncer at a South Hackensack strip club was shot in the back, authorities say.

Bloomfield, NJ – A Bloomfield resident working as a bouncer at a South Hackensack strip club was shot in the back on Saturday, authorities say.

South Hackensack police said that the shooting took place around 10:20 p.m. at the Players Club and Grill on Huyler Avenue, NorthJersey.com reported.

The Bloomfield resident, was shot once in the back and “was in a lot of pain,” Capt. Robert Kaiser said, adding that there was a fight inside the club prior to the shooting and that two men were asked to leave.

A witness on the scene told NorthJersey.com that the fight began when one of the men allegedly shortchanged an employee for two dances.

The alleged shooter returned to the club after being kicked out with an accomplice and fired several rounds from a handgun, striking the bouncer once, NorthJersey.com stated.
