Bloomfield Man Robbed At Gunpoint On The Ampere Parkway

Three bandana-wearing men allegedly stole his cellphone and took off in a getaway car.

A 38-year-old Bloomfield man was robbed at gunpoint on the Ampere Parkway on July 25.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the victim was walking home when three males wearing bandanas over their faces approached him, one of whom had a silver handgun.

The victim handed over his cellphone – valued at $100 - then reportedly told his assailants “the police are coming,” which caused them to flee on foot towards Chester Avenue.

The victim then followed the three men to North 17th Street, where he allegedly saw them get into a grey, four-door vehicle, where a fourth man was waiting behind the wheel.

The men then drove away south on North 17th Street, reported the victim.

Police stated that the Bloomfield man wasn’t injured in the robbery.

Bloomfield police stated that one suspect was wearing a grey-hooded sweatshirt and a red bandana, the second suspect was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and a black bandana, and the third suspect was wearing a white t-shirt and black bandana.
