Bloomfield: Men Smash Store Window and Steal ATM
Machine recovered in Newark hours later.

An unknown pair of suspects smashed in the window of a Bloomfield Avenue shop with a car and absconded with an ATM, reported police.
According to Bloomfield police, the store’s manager arrived to work around 6 a.m. on March 18 to find that the front window of the building had been smashed in during the night and the in-store ATM was missing.
Police stated in a release that a security video revealed that two vehicles pulled up to the store at approximately 4:28 a.m., and one of the vehicles backed into the building, breaking the window and allowing two suspects to remove the ATM machine and flee the area.

Police recovered the stolen ATM hours later in Newark and sent it to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office crime lab for processing.
According to authorities, the vehicles on the tape were a dark colored Jeep Cherokee Sport and a white Porsche Cayenne. Police described the suspects as males with thin builds, wearing dark-colored hoodies.
