Bloomfield Offices, Smoke Shop Burglarized: Police

BPD: Someone stole two bottles of wine, a camera and a computer from offices in Bloomfield. The next day, someone burglarized a smoke shop.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A smoke shop and several offices were recently burglarized in Bloomfield, authorities announced Thursday.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following information about each burglary:

June 15 – Officers responded to 650 Bloomfield Avenue after getting a report about a burglary. According to the complainant, several offices at the property were burglarized sometime between 5 p.m. on June 6 and 9 a.m. on June 8. The following items were reported missing: two bottles of wine, a digital camera and a Dell computer. Two additional offices had pry marks on the door, but nothing was missing. The incident is under investigation, police said.

June 16 – Officers responded to 399 West Passaic Avenue (Lava Smoke Shop) after getting a report about a commercial burglary alarm. Upon arrival, the officers found the glass front door shattered. The store owner responded and retrieved video footage, which showed two men break the glass with a rock and remove the cash register and five Vapeco vaporizers. The items were valued at $2,400. The incident is under investigation, police said.
