Missing Bloomfield Teen Found After Police Search: Updated
Family members tried to track a missing teen's phone. The last location they got was by the park – then the phone turned off, police said.

Police in Bloomfield are asking for the public’s help finding a missing teen, authorities announced Thursday.
The Bloomfield Division of Public Safety released the following information about the missing juvenile, identified as 16-year-old Tina Nyang’au:

“The above listed juvenile got off the school bus after attending night school roughly around 7:10 p.m. but failed to go inside her home. According to her older brother, who is currently taking care of her while their mother who is in Nigeria, Tina has been having a lot of stress and anxiety lately and would normally go for walks and return home but did not in this case. They tried to locate her cell phone earlier in the day with find my iPhone and the last location they got was by Branch Brook Park in the city of Newark before Tina's phone was turned off. That's when the family notified police.”
Bloomfield authorities said Nyang’au was last seen wearing a black sweater with gray/black shorts and was carrying a black backpack. She was described as a thin, Black female with black/brown eyes and black hair, about 5 feet 5 inches and 120 pounds.
