Bloomfield Pedestrian Didn’t Use Crosswalk, Got Hit By Car: Police
A vehicle struck a 35-year-old pedestrian who walked into the street outside of the crosswalk, police say.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A vehicle traveling on Bloomfield Avenue struck a 35-year-old pedestrian who walked into the street outside of the crosswalk, police say.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the pedestrian-car strike took place around 5:29 p.m. on Aug. 1 near Bloomfield and Glenwood avenues as a male pedestrian attempted to cross Bloomfield Avenue.
Witnesses reported that the man walked into the street without using the crosswalk, police stated.

Emergency responders treated the man at the scene after he complained of pain, then transported him to Clara Maass Medical Center, police said.
The driver of the vehicle wasn’t injured, police stated.
