Bloomfield Pedestrian Robbed, Threatened: Police

A Bloomfield pedestrian said that a man stole her car and threatened to hurt her during an encounter on Newark Avenue, police say.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield pedestrian said that a man stole her car and threatened to hurt her during an encounter on Newark Avenue earlier this month, authorities stated.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the robbery took place on Newark Avenue around 5:40 a.m. on Nov. 9. The victim told officers that a man approached her and said he was going to harm her. The man then grabbed the left side collar of her jacket with his left hand.

The man grabbed the victim’s keys and got into her car, then drove away at a high rate of speed towards Newark, police said.
