Bloomfield Pharmacy Burglarized, Medicine Stolen: Police

Police arrived to find a shattered window. Several types of pain medication were missing, including Xanax and codeine, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Someone burglarized a pharmacy in Bloomfield and stole $1,000 worth of pain medication last week, authorities announced Wednesday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Bloomfield Pharmacy on Bloomfield Avenue on April 2 after getting a report about a burglary. Police arrived to find the front window of the store shattered.

The pharmacy owner confirmed that several types of pain medication were missing, including Xanax, codeine and cough syrup, police said.
