In Bloomfield: Pizza Party to Benefit Pups

Fundraiser will help to raise revenue for Pitty Rescue.

Pitty Rescue, a nonprofit animal rescue organization based in Bloomfield, will host their “Pizza with a Purpose” fundraising event from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., on Friday, April 24, at the California Pizza Kitchen in the Willowbrook Mall.

Pizza lovers who bring in a flyer on April 24 to California Pizza Kitchen will have 20 percent of their order benefit Pitty Rescue, according to a release. Flyers can be obtained at the shelter’s website or Paradise Pet, 48 West Passaic Ave., Bloomfield.

Volunteers at Pitty Rescue will be at California Pizza Kitchen from 6 to 8 p.m. to hand out flyers and provide information to visitors about the organization.

“Every dollar helps the dogs in our rescue, and we greatly appreciate the support from our community” remarked Gina Ugaro, Acting Operations Lead for the North East. “Our rescue is no kill, and the dogs in our care receive training, daily walks, nutritious food, shelter, attention and lots of love.”
