Bloomfield Police: $150 In Quarters Reported Missing From Washing Machines

The quarters were reported missing from an apartment building's unlocked, coin-operated washing machines, Bloomfield police say.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police say that a thief may have absconded with $150 in quarters from the laundry room of an apartment building on Hoover Avenue earlier this month.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the quarters were reported missing from the building’s coin-operated washing machines on Aug. 8. The machines weren’t secured or locked, authorities said.

The owner of the building reported that the missing quarters came to $150, police said.
