Bloomfield Police Arrest Two Men For Alleged Knifepoint Robbery

The men stole $200 from a Bloomfield resident on Hazelwood Road, police say.

Bloomfield police have arrested two men in connection with a knifepoint robbery that took place on Hazelwood Road on Saturday around 2:25 p.m.

Responding to the scene of an armed robbery, police allegedly found two males fitting the descriptions of the suspects on the corner of Montgomery and Orchid streets: Jayceon William, 25, of Bloomfield, and Gregory Badu, 24, of West Orange.

After police stopped and detained the men, the victim - a 27-year-old Bloomfield resident – identified them as the persons who robbed $200 from him at knifepoint.

Badu was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, possession of a Schedule III CDS (14 Xanex pills), possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. His bail was set at $100,000.

William was charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. His bail was set at $50,000.
