Bloomfield Police: Man Tried To Swipe Forklifts, Broke Fence
The man caused $6,000 worth of damage to a fence with a forklift during the theft attempt, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police say that a man broke a fence when he tried to steal a pair of expensive forklifts on Orange Street last month, authorities say.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Orange Street after receiving a call about an attempted theft. The complainant said that a heavyset man in glasses tried to swipe two of his forklifts, which were valued at $47,000.
The man caused $6,000 worth of damage to the complainant’s fence with one of the forklifts during the theft attempt, police said.
