Bloomfield Police: Mom and Daughter Robbed On Ampere Parkway, Gunpoint Robbery On Weaver/Franklin
Bloomfield police say that victims have reported two recent robberies in the township.

Bloomfield, NJ – Bloomfield police say that victims have reported two robberies in the township in recent weeks.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, on June 21, a 48-year-old woman told officers that she and her 16-year-old daughter were walking north on Ampere Parkway around 9:13 p.m. when a man approached them from behind, punching and pushing the mother and yanking on her purse.
The man then got into a gold Toyota Camry parked on Chester Avenue, police said.

With the mother and daughter in her car, a witness on the scene managed to follow the suspect’s vehicle before losing track of it near North 16th Street and Eaton Place in East Orange, police said.
The witness then dropped the mother and daughter off at the scene of the incident and waited until police arrived, authorities stated.

Emergency responders transported the 48-year-old victim to Mountainside Hospital, where she was treated for injuries sustained during the alleged robbery, police said.

WEAVER/FRANKLIN ROBBERY
According to Bloomfield police, a 19-year-old man reported that he was robbed at 8:30 p.m. on June 24 in the area of Weaver Avenue and Franklin Street.
The man told police that a black male about 18-years-old with red-highlighted dreadlocks and armed with a tan-colored gun took his LG cellphone and told him to “walk away.”
The victim went to police headquarters to report the incident after the alleged robbery, authorities said.
