Bloomfield Police: Teen Says Men Beat, Robbed Him At Local Quick Chek

Bloomfield police say the robbery took place around 10:11 p.m. at the Quick Chek on Broad Street.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A 17-year-old male teen reported that two men pulled him out of the passenger side of a car, beat him and robbed him shortly after meeting his friend at the Bloomfield Quick Chek on Broad Street on June 15, authorities say.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the teen victim told officers that the robbery took place when he met a friend around 10:11 p.m. at the Quick Chek on Broad Street. As he entered his friend’s car and he began to pull out onto Broad Street, two men allegedly walked up to the vehicle and motioned as if they had a gun.

The men then demanded money and began to punch and kick him, the victim told police.

The suspects allegedly took the victim’s cell phone and money and fled to the rear of the Quick Chek parking lot, then got into an “older model,” tan Nissan Altima and left the scene, police said.

The victim refused medical attention, police stated.
