Bloomfield Police Will Launch DWI Crackdown: Here’s When

The checkpoint is being held in anticipation of the spring and summer holidays, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Police Department will be conducting a DWI sobriety checkpoint starting in May in anticipation of the spring and summer holidays. The checkpoint will enhance efforts to control drunken driving, authorities said.

“These operations are being conducted to raise awareness of impaired driving by educating motorist and arresting impaired drivers,” Bloomfield police stated in a news release.

Funding for the operation has been provided by the Drunk Driving Enforcement Fund.
