Bloomfield Preps For 4th Nor’Easter: No Parking On ‘Snow Streets’
As Bloomfield faces down forecasts of "heavy snow" from a fourth nor'easter, catch up on reminders about parking, garbage and recycling.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — As Bloomfield faces down forecasts of “heavy snow” from a fourth nor’easter, local officials are reminding residents about parking regulations in the township during storms.

“Another nor’easter is headed our way,” Bloomfield police wrote on social media Tuesday. “We are expecting approximately eight inches of heavy, wet snow.”
Bloomfield police reminded residents that there is no parking on any road that’s been designated as a “snow street” once they become covered with snow. (See a list of affected Bloomfield streets here)

Vehicles parked in snow emergency streets are subject to ticketing and/or towing at the owners' expense, officials said.
Bloomfield town officials released the following advisory on Tuesday:

“A winter storm warning is in effect through Thursday morning. Heavy snow is expected during this period. In anticipation of the snow, we are asking all residents to remove their cars from the street this evening. During this time, you may park your car in any school or township recreation parking lot. All cars must be moved from designated snow streets once the snow starts to accumulate. Also, garbage and recycling pickups are cancelled for tomorrow. Garbage will be picked up on your next regular day which is Saturday, March 24. Also, recycling that is cancelled tomorrow will be also be picked up on Saturday March 24. We ask everyone to be safe during this period.”
